Service Maintenance Technician
Responsibilities
- The maintenance of retail fuel system and gas station equipment
- Includes fuel dispensers, piping, meter calibration, electronic displays, programming electronics, troubleshooting hydraulics, low and high voltage wiring, updating firmware and software, vapor recovery equipment, monitoring system equipment, UST equipment and POS systems
- Rotating on-call schedule for after hours and weekend emergencies
- Ability to maintain a clean and organized working environment
- Troubleshoot and repair issues related to Gilbarco and Wayne fuel dispensers, Veeder Root monitoring system and related sensors, UST piping and turbine components
- Inspect and assess problems as they arise and make necessary repairs
- Troubleshoot and repair issues related to electrical and low voltage wiring
- Work with regulatory agencies to maintain compliance of fuel equipment
- Maintain safe and clean work environment by complying with Island Petroleum and OSHA procedures, rules and regulations
- Performs other duties as required and/or assigned
- Help troubleshoot and repair equipment
- Perform repairs on field equipment repairs
- Providing high quality repair service on equipment
- Recognize and perform repair and maintenance tasks
- Obtain repair and maintenance instructions
- Perform minor or routine maintenance or repair
- Replace or repair worn parts
- Maintain and order repair parts
- Provide electrical service and/or repair to customer units
- Maintain appropriate maintenance and repair logs
- Handle routine repair and maintenance of plumbing and electrical systems
Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Ability to work 40+ hours/week
- Valid driver’s license and good driving record
- Ability to travel throughout the general Southern California area
- Proficient skill level with pc/laptop, Microsoft Office, networking and internet configuration
- Must be able to perform basic job functions independently
- Electrical: 2 years (Required)
- Low Voltage: 2 years (Required)
- Service Maintenance: 2 years (Required)
- Driver’s License (Required)
- Willingness to travel
